Why is LIGNOCAP useful?
LIGNOCAP is a bio-based multipurpose insulation panel for energy efficiency, sustainability, and comfort in buildings with advanced thermo-acoustic performance, carbon capture capability, and long-term stability following the principles of circular economy. Therefore, the research outcomes of LIGNOCAP project will support the upgrade to sustainable, healthy, and resilient buildings of the future. The project will attempt to contribute to Urban Heat Islands mitigation and reduced resource depletion. Also, the main paradigm of the here-developed optimization procedure will be shared and communicated to different relevant stakeholders (professionals, construction companies, industry, policy-makers, etc.) to provide a virtuous example and drive a new era of sustainable product development centred on human perception and comfort improvement and energy and environmental impact reduction.
